This large 19th-century standing Nandi from Maharashtra features an impressive depiction of Lord Shiva seated atop the sacred bull. Shiva wears a tapered crown and holds a trishul (trident) in one hand and a conch in the other. His consort, Parvati, is gracefully seated on his lap. The Nandi itself is adorned with intricate detailing, further enhancing the craftsmanship and symbolic richness of the piece.
