The practice of using the fundamental dobby designs in varying layouts with supplementary border designs is very intrinsically Maheswari. Here in a Churi utaar manner, the oldest Chatai- matting border is placed in increasing width stripes till the nakkhi. The simple tessellated diamond pattern that resembles the diamond like jaali carved in stone on fort walls is the derivative source. The organic Kangra, with the geometric repeatable Aankh, helps in making a balanced comprehensive look. This Tissue saree- has every alternate yarn of the warp as zari, along with 1 ply silk, that makes the saree shimmer. The shine of Zari becomes part of the weave structure and give its visual and tactile textures to the body. The pastel colors complimenting the warmness of golden zari, along with gap placement of the border, where the sheer taani is peeking out, bring out the grandeur of this archival piece.
