Ghongade Ghongade is a woollen blanket for common people for various purposes. Apart from using it as shawl or as a spread it has many uses. Malhari or Khanderay is considered to be the reincarnation of Shiva. He wanted to marry a Dhangar girl, Banu. So he dresses up like a Dhangar, for whom the Ghongade is an important part of the attire.
