Using upcycled teak, this range of benches and chairs is designed by E V O K E London and handmade by highly skilled woodworkers and weavers of the Suthar (Carpenter) Community from India. The artisans practise carpentry and rope weaving using indigenous techniques passed down over generations.
The shape of our Ballam Stool’s legs is inspired by classic Indian clubs used in the ancient art of swinging clubs as a staple of fitness training long before it reached Europe in the early 1800s.
