Ardhamandapa Devi draws its inspiration from the architectural threshold, the ardhamandapa as the transitional space between the outer world and the sanctum of a temple. This symbolic in-between becomes the stage for the Devi’s emergence, where form, energy, and presence coalesce.Textile designer and artist Jayshree Poddar collaborated with the KAASH team to create a series of layered textile artworks that bring together pine wood, silk satin, and metals, copper and brass to explore this liminal space embodying both protection and revelation. At the heart of these works are hand-crafted metal masks by the artist, which transcend conventional material and medium boundaries. These masks evoke vibhas, the fierce and awe-inspiring presence of the Devi.
